This base type is found in a wide range of bulbs, including A-shape (A19), G-shape (globe), ST-shape (Edison), and T-shape (tubular), making medium base fixtures incredibly versatile.

Because of their compatibility with LED bulbs, many medium base fixtures support energy-efficient lighting while still allowing for dimmable and color temperature-adjustable options.
