Rennes Collection
The Rennes Collection
Via its new industrial growth, partly automotive, Rennes has developed in significance and is now a digital innovation hub in France. There is an exquisite juxtaposition of old and modern, with the converted factories that line the streets. Street-art has gradually taken hold of several neighborhoods and sometimes neglected places, thus brightening up the city’s environment. In 1720, a terrible fire wiped out half of Rennes from the map. The reconstruction of the city is then entrusted to a famous architect, Jacques Gabriel. With its clean, sleek layers and circles with industrial, Edison type bulbs, the Rennes collection illuminates the juxtaposition, making for a beautifully appealing concept.
