The Nottingham Collection
A city located in the north of England, Nottingham is the seventh-largest city in the UK. It is one of the few industrial towns in Great Britain to have been able to preserve a trace of its medieval past while becoming an outpost of the Industrial Revolution in the 18th and 19th centuries. During its long history, the city was successively occupied by the Romans, subjected to the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia, at the mercy of Viking raids, dominated by the Normans, influenced by the Carmelites before being an English city of the first plan in contemporary times. The Nottingham Collection shows the relaxed and modern balance of homespun style and is a real example of transitional art. The Nottingham Collection focuses on a range of chandeliers that pay homage to modern as well as medieval style with sophisticated sensuality.
