Rochdale Collection

Rochdale is a large town in the valley of the River Roch in Manchester, England. Historically a part of Lancashire, during the Industrial Revolution, Rochdale rose to prominence at the start of the 19th century as a mill town and textile production base. It was a city completely developed by the industrial revolution and counted among the first modern towns. The socio-economic transition brought about in the 19th century by the growth of the cloth industry of Rochdale led to its advancement to borough level and it remained a prominent colony in its region.
